NEWLAND, ELWOOD “Louie” age 86, died Saturday, November 19, 2011
at his home. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 26,
2011 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI.
Pastor Richard Wahl officiating. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 to
2:00 P.M. Cremation has taken place. Louie was born December 18, 1925 to
parents Elwood T. and Edith (Bandy) Newland. Louie was the owner and
operator of Quality Asphalt. Surviving are special friend for over 27 years
Karolyn Marsden; children James, Bill, Jack, Mike, Sue, Sally, Edie; 19
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Louise Hosler, Alice
Alexander; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son Bob and
sister Joyce Hickman. Contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice.
