TAYLOR, Martha E. – of Clio, age 89, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Elizabeth’s Assisted Living in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Karen Williams officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Thetford Center United Methodist Church.

Martha was born on July 8, 1924 in Piggott, AR to the late Frank and Zelda (Carter) Thomas. She married Charles W. Taylor on June 14, 1942 in Flint. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1985. Martha was a member of the Thetford Center United Methodist Church and formerly a secretary of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching soap operas and playing euchre.

Surviving are: children, Janice (Tim) Stohlman of Clio, Jerry (Kay) Taylor of Pearce, AZ, Larry (Joyce) Taylor of Otisville, Rose (Don) Thorsby of Clio, Frank (Jean) Taylor of Montrose, Mary (Tim) Glassburn of Millington; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Albrecht of Clinton Twp, Margaret “Evelyn” Tate of Davison, Charles “Bill” Thomas of CA, James (Diane) Thomas of Flushing; many other family and friends. She was also preceded in death by: her daughters, Martha Taylor and Joyce Gerics; brother, Frank Thomas.
