Jones, Catherine Irene - Age 63, died December 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held from 10AM-2PM & 4-8PM Saturday and from 11 AM until the time of service Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Catherine was born February 26, 1955 in Flint, the daughter of Buel and Patsy (Frierson) Jones. She had lived in Flushing for many years, before moving to Florida in August. Catherine worked at Family Dollar for 24 years, where she was a District Manager. She was a member of American Legion Post #252. She enjoyed spending time with family at the cottage in Hillman and at Madeira Beach Post #273. Catherine had recently converted to Catholicism, which was very important to her. She is survived by her mother, Patsy Jones; sister, Patti (Mark) LaHaie; brother, Mike (Carol) Jones; nieces and nephews, DeAnna and Adam Jones, Brandon and Rachel LaHaie; great nephews, Caiden, Chase and Gabriel; great-niece, Nova; special uncles, Tom (Debbie) Frierson, Dave (Dolores) Frierson; grandchildren, Dylan, Lauren, Gavin and Peyton; many special cousins, extended family and her beloved dog, Maylin.
