WIEDERHOLD, Harry – of Clio, age 84, went to be with his Lord Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Kith Haven Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 1PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Pastor Tony Chick and Rev. DeWeerd Smith officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-9PM and on Wednesday from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM. A memorial service will be held by the American Legion Post #158, Tuesday at 7 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to American Legion Post #158.
Harry was born in Clio on August 27, 1927 to the late Morley and Jessie (Dyer) Wiederhold. He attended Clio Schools. He served in the US Navy as a Seabee from 1945 to 1946. He married Eileen Farr on April 23, 1949 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Clio. Mr. Wiederhold worked at GM Truck and Bus for 40 years, was a charter member of Clio Lions Club, American Legion Post #158, Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post #1452, and the Living Promise Church. He loved playing golf at Kearsley Golf Course with pals John Moore and Jim Petty where he shot a hole-in-one. He loved traveling with family all through upper Michigan, then to Zephyrhills, FL and Mission, TX.
He will be sadly missed by: wife, Eileen; 4 daughters, Bonnie (Don) Kukulis of Munising, Pam (Keith) Jackson of Clio, Laurie Deloney of Mt. Morris, Lisa (Ken) Taylor-Bogos of Brighton; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Graham of Clio; brother, Glen Wiederhold of Arcadia, FL; nieces and nephews.
