HERNANDEZ, Manuel Robert – Of Argentine and Lake George, age 76, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Hernandez will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Manuel was born in Flint, Michigan on January 2, 1940, the son of the late Joseph and Ann (Burene) Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez was employed by Hurley Hospital for over 25 years.
He was also a Sheriff Deputy in Clare County.
Surviving are sons, Eric (Renee) and Brian Maynard;
significant other of 20 years, Nancy Ames;
two grandchildren, Brian Jr. and Mariah (Jordan) Butzin;
four great-grandchildren;
sisters, Mary Ellen Ketter,
Roseanne (Sonny) Hall and Stephanie Kreklau.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Hernandez; step-father, Howard Burene; brother, John Lewis Hernandez; sisters, JoAnn Carmen Clutts and Pauline Ann Hernandez.
