Beverly Ann Seaman Sivertson, loving mother, grandmother and aunt, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on July 14, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born February 15, 1934 in Detroit Michigan to the late Alfred and Theresa (Schamanski) Seaman.
Beverly lived various places with her husband and children during her husband’s Air Force career. They retired in 1977 to Metamora, Mich where she was active in Eastern Star. While living in Metamora she was a volunteer English tutor and drove cancer patients to their appointments. Throughout their married life, Beverly and her husband loved to travel to different places. They were members of the NTC organization.
In 2003 Beverly and her husband moved to Tawas City, Mich where she was also a very active member of Eastern Star and the Tawas Presbyterian Church. In 2020 Beverly and her husband moved to Bay City, Mich and became members of the Westminster Presbyterian Church where Beverly joined their crochet and knitting group. She crocheted and knitted newborn hats for the hospitals until her death. Beverly was an avid gardener. She loved to work in the yard, plant a garden and can her vegetables until she moved to Lapeer, Mich in 2023. She had a love of card games, dice and working puzzles.
Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter Alice (John) Van Allen of Wedgefield, SC; Ronald (Christine) Sivertson of Green River, Wy and Randall (Annette) Sivertson of Lapeer, Mich. Grandchildren Jeremy (Gwen) Van Allen of Sumter, SC; Jennifer (Mike) Fink of Sumter, SC; William (Ashley) Sivertson of Davison, Mich; Brigette (Weston) Buhl of Midland, and Thomas Sivertson of Green River, Wy; 12 Great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving Husband of 68 years George P. Sivertson and sister Loraine May Smykla.
Visitation will be 4-8PM Friday, July 19, 2024, and 10-11AM Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be 7PM Friday, at the funeral home. Beverly’s funeral service will be 11AM Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Muir Brothers – Lapeer. Pastor Hal Shafor will officiate. In accordance with Beverly’s wishes cremation will follow the funeral service. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Lapeer or CorsoCare Hospice.
