LEINWEBER, Ronald L. – Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Royal Oak, age 82, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Pinora Cemetery in Pinora Township, Michigan.
Those desiring may make contributions to Hometown Hospice.
Visitation 4-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Ronald was born in Reed City, Michigan on June 29, 1932, the son of Leslie and Ada (Schawe) Leinweber.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed weaving, book clubs and taught classes in meditation.
Mr. Leinweber was a teacher at Andover in Bloomfield Hills for many years. He then completed an additional degree in Theology at William Tyndale College and served on the faculty, teaching British Literature. He graduated from Central Michigan University with degrees in German and English Literature, then went on to complete a Masters Degree in British Literature at U of M Ann Arbor.
Surviving are daughter, Clara Rose of Fenton;
son, David and wife Mary Leinweber of Oxford, GA;
grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Leinweber, Peter, Olivia and John Chippetta;
sister, Louise and husband Ronald Davis of Oakley;
brother, Larry and wife Claudia Leinweber of Bloomfield Hills;
many nieces and nephews;
long-time friend, Mel Batch.
