Paul William Brandt, age 72, passed on May 9, 2024, peacefully to be in the presence of Our Lord and Savior.
Paul was born on May 5, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Lawrence and Dorothy Brandt. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Joseph, MI at Trinity Lutheran Church. Paul graduated High School from Alma High School in 1970 and attended Ferris State University from 1970 to 1974 with a degree in business and marketing. While attending Ferris State University he was part of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and has remained close to his frat brothers. Paul spent his career in food distribution where he was a part owner of Atlas Sugar in Flint, MI and finished his career of 40 years at Dawn Foods.
Paul is survived by his wife, Luan, and his sons Joshua (Jamie) and Aaron (Paulina). He is also survived by his four granddaughters; brothers, Thomas, and James (Beverly); and his sister Barbara.
He was a man who devoted his life to his Lord and family. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he sat on numerous boards as well as served as the president of the congregation. He loved watching U of M football games, watching his sons play sports, playing golf and spending time up north on the lake. His family and friends will always remember him for his wisdom, kindness, and sense of humor. Paul’s family will be honoring his life at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint, MI on June 1st at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM.
Memorial contributions in Paul's honor can be given to Concordia University Ann Arbor.
