Harold D. Hilgendorf
Age 84 of Owosso passed away on Friday, November 09, 2012 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Northgate Wesleyan Church with Pastor Cal Emerson and Pastor Ron Heiler officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8pm and Tuesday from 2 to 8pm.
Harold was born June 14, 1928 in Owosso one of seventeen children, the son of Fred and Tracy (Hamby) Hilgendorf.
He was an active member of Northgate Wesleyan Church. Harold was also a member of Union Local 598 and the Boys Brigade. He enjoyed “Golden Agers” music, attending Jamborees and collecting John Deere tractors. Most of all, he looked forward to spending time with his family.
Harold married Jacqulyn Edith Castle at the Byron Baptist Church on October 6, 1951.
He was employed by General Motors for 38 years as an electrician.
Harold is survived by his wife Jacqulyn; children Devona (Larry) Jameson, Brenda Bentley, Gordon (Dianna) Hilgendorf, Owen (Tami) Hilgendorf, Brian (Tina) Hilgendorf, Regina (Phillip) Park and Eric (Jill) Hilgendorf; 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; sisters Winnie Long and Nancy Hilgendorf; brothers John (Betty) Hilgendorf and Gary (Monica) Hilgendorf; sisters-in-laws Gracie, Marion and Arlene; many nieces and nephews.
He predeceased by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters.
