KOTLARK, Dorothy J. – of Clio, age 85, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Brian Silvey officiating. Private burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 1-2PM. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Dorothy was born November 16, 1927 to the late Muriel and Mary (Reiman) Finkbeiner. She lived in Clio most of her life. She married Jack Kotlark on November 19, 1953 in MD. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Kotlark worked at the Bavarian Inn for 10 years. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness. She enjoyed sewing.
Surviving are: children, Dennis Wise of Clio, Debra (James) Vandendries of Corunna,
Tammy (Mark) Borowitz of Clio; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Howard (Delores) Finkbeiner, Harold Finkbeiner, Robert Finkbeiner, Joseph Finkbeiner, Joyce Wilburn, Carol Zaremba, Donald Finkbeiner and David Finkbeiner; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: son, Jack Kotlark in 1955; siblings, Delores Gadany and Birnie Finkbeiner; and 2 daughters in law, Grace Wise and Carol Wise.
