Hagerman, Dale Robert - Age 90, of Fenton, died October 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 12 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Private family burial service at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 1 - 4 PM and 5 - 8 PM Wednesday, and 10 AM - 12:00 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or Hagerman Family Endowed Scholarship, College of Pharmacy C/O The Ferris Foundation 420 Oak St. Big Rapids, MI 49307. Dale was born August 5, 1927 in Flint one of eight children of Ray and Mildred (Stocking) Hagerman. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a graduate of Ferris State University, College of Pharmacy. He married Janet Huston on August 20, 1949 in Fenton. In 1951 he joined Paul Bottecelli at Fenton Drug which later became Ideal Pharmacy. In 1975 he founded Diplomat Pharmacy. Dale was an active leader in the Genesee County Pharmacy Association and the Michigan Pharmacists Association. In 2015, Dale was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ferris State University. Surviving are wife of 68 years, Jan; five children, Deborah (David) Ward of Fenton, Phil (Jocelyn) Hagerman of Fenton, Michael (Lynne) Hagerman of Fenton, John (Rhonda) Hagerman of Davison, Marc (Jaimie) Hagerman of Lowell; twelve grandchildren and their families, Elizabeth Knight, Jennifer Hagerman, Stephanie Van Pelt, Megan Lineberger, Angela Sorensen, Cory Hagerman, Robert Hagerman, Samantha McNaughton, Gina Fender, Nicole Vert, Tommy Hagerman and Taylor Hagerman; and eight great grandchildren.
