Eugene A. Schaaf age 73 of Lennon passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service.
Eugene was born December 19, 1944 in Flint, a son of Clair and Dorothy (Jourdain) Schaaf. On March 8, 1986 he married Wanda Mikolaiczik. He was a member of the Shiawassee Dog and Gun Club and enjoyed riding motorcycles and shooting guns at the range. Prior to his retirement in 2006 he was a roofer and worked in construction for over 40 years.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Wanda Schaaf; children, Jim (Audrey) Reagle and Ronda (Dennis) Denike; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Hopper and Marjorie (Cliff) Orr; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Dorothy Schaaf; brother, Bob Schaaf; and sister, Mary Johnson.
