HAMILLA, John A. - Of Flint, age 64, died Sunday, February 14, 2016
at Genesys Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
A Memorial Service will be held 2pm Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Pastor Chris Glantz officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys Health Foundation.
Visitation 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
John was born in Munising, Michigan on April 25, 1951, the son of the late Walter and Gwendolyn (Strand) Hamilla and was a resident of Flint most of his life. On May 17, 1985, he married Nancy R. Ulanski. John formerly owned and operated Eastown Bowl.
Surviving are wife, Nancy “Nan”;
children, Christa and husband Kenny Skunda, Randy and wife Shannon Balcer, Shane Balcer;
grandchildren, Tyler, Cyleigh, and Mickey Clifford, Haley Skunda and Preston Balcer;
special niece, Tracie and special great niece, Justice;
brothers, Walter “Tooker” and wife Cathy Hamilla, C.J. Hamilla and David and wife Patty Hamilla;
and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Kendall.
