KELLETT, Robert W. “Bob” – Of Holly, age 78, died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:30pm Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth Avenue, Flint, Reverend Father Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Kellett will remain at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, where family will receive friends from 5-8pm Sunday and 12noon-4pm and 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home. A Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Bob will be at the church from 11:30am Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
Those desiring may make contributions to the IHM Retirement Fund.
Bob was born in Flint on October 17, 1934, the son of William and Elizabeth Kellett. Bob was a resident of Flint most of his life. He was a graduate of Flint Tech; Class of 1952, Bob was a Die Designer and Product Designer and retired from General Motors. He married Jo-Ann Seidenwand on November 28, 1953 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint, Bob and Jo-Ann enjoyed traveling, they visited 49 states. Bob enjoyed being with his friends at the Monday Breakfast Club and the Thursday Romeo Club Lunches. Bob was a loving husband of 52 years to wife Jo-Ann. Devoted father to 8 children,
Robert J., Ann Marie and husband Dr. Harvey Yee of Goodrich,
Teresa Allard of Grand Blanc, Jeanne and husband Bob Kaczorowski of Holly, Dennis of Swartz Creek, James and wife, Stacy of Goodrich,
Mary Jo and husband Niles Owen III of Fenton, and Michelle and husband John VanTol of Flushing;
grandfather of 23 and great-grandfather of 12;
also surviving, sister-in-law, Sr. Kate Seidenwand of Monroe and sister-in-law, Lois McVeigh and husband Glenn of Hersey, MI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo-Ann, son, Robert J., grandsons, James Kaczorowski and John VanTol II; great-grandson, Antonio Vasquez; and brother, Fred and his wife, Rita Kellett.
