FOSTER, Leonard Wayne - Of Flint, age 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Gerald Hodgeson and Pastor Glenn Tatterson officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Leonard was born in Flint on January 9, 1928 and remained in the Flint area his entire life. He was lovingly married to his first wife, Barbara, for 54 years until her “homegoing” December 1, 2000. He then met, and married, Gloria Rogers, and remained her loyal husband for the past 12 years, until her “homegoing” on January 4, 2013. Leonard was a member of the Flint Baptist Temple where he faithfully served his Lord for 37 years. He worked for GM Truck Assembly for 35 years, retiring in 1983.
Left to cherish his memory; children, Cheryl (Paul) Cooper of Davison, Jeffrey (Karen) Foster of Swartz Creek, Leo (Patrice) Foster of Flint;
13 grandchildren (and spouses);
several great-grandchildren;
sister, Shirley (Bud) Chaney;
brother, L.D. Foster;
step-children, Allen (Vickie) Rogers, Larry (Jackie) Rogers, Brenda (Barry) Woods, Lynn (Marc) Cavett; step-grandchildren.
