Dorothy M. Haley, age 85, of Linden, past away peacefully in her home with her family, on Sept. 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sat. Sept. 21, 2013 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 PM Fri. Sept. 20, 2013. Mrs. Haley was born in Detroit, MI on Oct. 1, 1927 the daughter of Jacob and Ida (Adams) Carson. She graduated from high school with magna cum laude honors at the age of 15 and graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She was a former assistant Dean at Wayne State University and was retired as Deputy Treasurer for Genesee County. She enjoyed her family and traveling. Surviving are her son Kevin (Shari) Haley of Linden; 2 grandchildren, Kendra and Brandon Haley; 2 sisters, Velma Curtis of CA and Jane Mitchell of Brighton; nieces Shelley Mitchell of NH, Pamela Koehler of Brighton, and Peggy Martin of CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Haley and her daughter Patty Haley. Memorial donations may be made to Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com |
