Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2PM until 9PM and on Friday from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Easter Seals of Genesee County.

Gerald was born March 21, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Carl and Nellie (Webb) Taylor. He -from Flint Junior College. He married Nancy Carpenter On July 14, 1962. They enjoyed many happy years together. Gerald served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Taylor retired from the former Chevrolet in "the hole" with 38 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local # 659. He was also employed with the former Joseph Ford Dealership in Grand Blanc. Gerald volunteered with the local food bank at St. Mary's Church. He was an avid blood donor with the American Red Cross and donated over 5 Gallons throughout his life. Gerald was a founding member of the Kearsley Genesee Rescue Squad. He was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association-Chapter 6. Gerald enjoyed Reading, tinkering, camping, storytelling and spending time with family. He was an all-around wonderful man with an excellent dry sense of humor.

Surviving are: loving wife, Nancy Taylor of Flint; children, Jane Jackson (Frank South) of Flint, Todd Taylor of Flint, David (Missie) Taylor of Oxford, Paula (Steven) Bugbee of Warren; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Vernon (Joann) Taylor of Montana, William (Elaine) Taylor of Farmington Hills; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
