WALKER, Ruth May of Flint, MI passed away peacefully at the age of 99 at her residence on November 16th, 2019.
Funeral service will be held 2:30pm Monday, November 18, 2019 at Flint Memorial Park, 9506 North Dort Highway, Mt. Morris,
Mr. Carl Royster officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Ruth was born May 3rd, 1920 in Genesee County, MI. She grew up in the Flint area and graduated from Northern High School in 1938. On May 21st, 1949 she married her husband of 53 years Edison (Bud) Walker. Ruth and Bud enjoyed traveling to Bradenton, Florida every winter for 20 years. She enjoyed music, singing in chorus, and entertaining her many friends and family.
She is survived by her 3 children Gary E. Walker (Cindy) of Georgia, Ronald W. Walker of Flint and Jeannette Marie Goode (Doug) of Flint. 2 step children Glenda D. Van Slyke (Chris) of Tennessee and Joseph E. Walker (Esma) of Grand Blanc. 4 grandchildren Ryan, Ashlyn, Lindsay and Jacqueline. 4 step grandchildren Glynis, Jason, Jennifer, and John and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edison Walker. 3 brothers William, Louis and Milan Miller. And her 2 sisters Naomi Meyer and Saraellen McGinity.
