KNEESHAW, Lillith “Ione” age 89, of Grand Blanc, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Fostrian Manor, Flushing. Services will be 4:30PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Friends may visit the family 1:00PM Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
Ione was born July 27, 1924 in Birmingham, Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late Robert L. and Christine A. (Clemiss) Newton. She married John R. Kneeshaw on September 25, 1948. Ione was employed by A.C. Spark Plug for 30 years until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of ABWA and a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross. Ione was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed dearly.
Surviving are her children, Scott Kneeshaw (Kathy) of Grand Blanc, Kathy Gensel (John) of Linden, Pamela Peck (Joe) of Beaverton; grandchildren, Jameson Hanson (Shelly), Jennifer Adrian (Billy), John Gensel, Tara Kneeshaw (Josh), Brent Kneeshaw (Jamie), Jacob Kneeshaw, Courtney Kneeshaw, Shawn Ball Rebecca Geary (Darcy), Brandon Fields (Kelly), Walter Steffens (Alissa), Amanda Schram (Bob); 5 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Faith, Kenton, Drake and Summer; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her husband on September 1, 1999; daughter, Deborah Mackey on October 30, 2012; 2 brothers and a sister.
The family extends special thanks to the staff of Fostrian Manor and Heartland Hospice for their professional and loving care.
