HENSLEY, Earl Noble Sr. - Of Flint, age 77, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Brother John Henson officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Earl was born in Huddy, Kentucky on March 28, 1934. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Earl was employed with Fisher Body retiring after 30 years of service. He was also a security guard for Smith Security for the last several years. Earl belonged to the Church of Christ in Grand Blanc and was also a church bus driver.
Surviving are children, James Lee (LaVonda Brown) Hensley, Oscar Lee Hensley, Marlene Marie (Dan) Laur, Earl Noble Hensley, Jr., Mary Magdalene (John’s) Lopez and Shelly Hiller and their mother, Maria Saylor.
14 grandchildren, James, Krystal Ann, Chase, Josh, Ashley, Jena, Earl, Jessie, Adam, Jessica, Samantha, Devin, Maria, Tasha;
11 great-grandchildren;
one brother, Larry Hensley; three sisters, Margaret, Rose and Connie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gyp Jakowczyk.
