Tucker, Marvin Eugene “Butch” Jr. of Flint, age 67, died peacefully in his home with his wife by his side Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Mt. Morris Church of Christ. Minister Jim Watson will officiate. The family will receive visitors from 11-12 p.m. with the service beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Metavivor in honor of his niece and all those battling metastatic breast cancer or donating to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) in honor of those who served our country.
Butch was born February 14, 1957, to Marvin Sr. and Barbara (Little) Tucker. As a young man he spent time working on fishing boats and learning construction. Butch joined the U.S. Navy in 1974. After being honorably discharged from the military, he married his bride of 45 Suzanne Beaulieu on October 27, 1978. Together, they shared interests in hunting, fishing, traveling, bird watching, and loving their numerous dogs throughout their many years together. Butch’s passion for travel was fulfilled as an over the road truck driver, often spending weeks on the road traveling the country. His passion for hunting and spending time with his wife was the catalyst for breaking generational rules against women at deer camp, much to the chagrin of the other men. Butch was blessed with one last hunting trip in the fall of 2023, with his son, Branden.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; children, Carrie Taylor, Brandon and wife Maggie Chojnacki; siblings, Marilyn Fowler, Anna Tucker, Robert Tipton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved dogs, Delilah, Sampson, and BamBam. Butch was preceded in death by his son, Adam Tucker; brother, William Erkkila; parents, Barbara and Marvin, Sr.
