TABIT, Michael L. – of Flint, passed away May 18, 2015 at his residence. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. Fr. Thomas J. McNamara officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11AM-8PM Wednesday. A Rosary will be prayed 7PM Wednesday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday.
Michael was born in Flint, MI on June 13, 1941, son to the late Louis and Stella (Reshka) Tabit. He was an accordion teacher and loved to play the accordion and organ. He enjoyed going on adventures and collecting antiques. Michael worked for Local 651 AC Spark Plug and retired in 1994.
Michael is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Dennis Martin; son, Steve (Becky) Tabit; two grandsons; sister, Shirley (Leonard) Jordan and children, Steve, David, Cathy, Laura, Jeanette, Theresa, John and Joyce; cousin, William B. (Tina) Cwiklinski; several friends, Carol Dickinson, MaryAnn Kozan, Carol Wagner, Candi Sholes and family, Denise Borg and family, Ethel Williams and family. He was preceded in death by brother, Jerry Nelson and family; friend, Jimmie Ernest and family.
