Ballew-Goodman, Monica J- of Flint, age 59. Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, August 1st, 2016.
Monica Jeanne Ballew was born April 16, 1957 to William and Jeanne Ballew. She was number 6 out of 7 children. She grew up in Grosse Pointe and Graduated from Grosse Pointe North in 1975. And though, she claimed it reminded her of a French Poodle, she was known as "Molly" to many of her close friends and family. Monica married Benny Goodman September 6, 1991. Her best friend and loyal companion Oomiak walked her down the aisle and was their ring bearer.
Monica enjoyed all forms of animals, though a select few stole her heart. She was a long time member of Alaskan Malmaute Club of America and AKC. Monica had a very successful show career. Her favorite hobbies included; watching baseball, fishing, loving her animals, and watching her kids do what they love. In recent years her most cherished memories will be those made with her grandchildren. She now gets to rejoin her best friend and all of her beloved animals at rainbow bridge where they will all cross rainbow bridge together.
She leaves behind her husband, Benny. Her Children: "The Girls", Morgan & Gabrielle (Kyle), and her baby boy, Kody (Katelynn); her beloved grandchildren: Payson Michelle, Kyler Hope, Owen Anthony, and Harper Lee; siblings: Michael (Barb) Ballew, Patrick (Marge) Ballew, Kathy Ballew, Richard Ballew, and Kelly Ballew; Many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Tom, step-mother Betty, best friend Oomiak, and her parents William and Jeanne.
A service date will be announced as arrangements are made.
