BLAIR, Mrs. Judith Ann "Judy" - Age 71, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3502 Lapeer Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Marvin A. Jennings, Sr., officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Blair will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 noon-8 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Judith Ann "Judy" Blair was born February 4, 1941 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Jessie Cook. "Judy" was a resident of Flint, Michigan and a member of Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was employed with General Motors.
Mrs. Judith Ann Blair leaves to cherish her memory: husband, James Blair of Flint; 5 daughters, Terri Ferguson of Flint, Jacqueline (Dale Mason) Ferguson, both of Flint, Ariane ( Dr. Michael) Jackson of Des Moines, IA, Rhonda Blair of Oakland, CA and Denise Hadnot of Rustin, LA; grandchildren, Anissa (James) Brown, Jason Ferguson, Eboni Lynn, allof Flint, Mychal Jackson of Des Moines, IA, DeAmber Sharp of Flint, KiKo Blair, Jacquari Blair, both of Oakland, CA, Alexis Hadnot, Bradon Green, LaTasha Green, Trey and Christian Hadnot; sister, Virginia Billups; a host of cousins including Fred and Donald Freeman; 2 sisters-in-law, Rose Blair and Ann Hawkins; brother-in-law, Tommie Blair; a host of other relatives and friends including, Bertha Williams, Mrs. Ella Twitty, Ladalia Postell, Ola Jones, dr. Brenda Rogers-Gray, Geraldine Chaney, Naomi Rushin, Linda Vaughn and Robin Fields.
Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her sons, Jody Coleman and James Blair, Jr.; parents, Samuel and Jessie Cook; sister, Phyllis Bowman; 2 brothers, Robert and Richard Cook; mother and father-in-law, Louis Blair Sr. and Margaret Blair; sister-in-law, Mary Blair; and brother-in-law, Louis Blair, Jr.
The family would like to express special thanks to ICU Nursing staff of McLaren-Flint and Pastor Marvin A. Jennings, Sr, and the Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church family.
