MARVIN, Phyllis Elaine – Of Lapeer, formerly of Flint Township, age 93, died Monday, August 10, 2020 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Inurnment at Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Davison United Methodist Church or Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.
Phyllis was born in Flint, Michigan on November 8, 1926, the daughter of Chester and Marie (Swenson) VanPetten.
She married Jack Marvin in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
She was a member of Lincoln Park Methodist Church for many years.
She was a snowbird and enjoyed traveling and flying with her husband, Jack, who was a private pilot.
She was an avid Detroit Tiger Baseball fan and liked to play Bingo.
Surviving are children, Michael (Judy) Marvin,
Jackie Marvin and
Janice (Bruce) Ketcham;
4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Carter and brother Francis VanPetten.
