LLOYD, Doris A. - Of Grand Blanc, age 84, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at McLaren-Flint.

Funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #4087

Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Doris was born in Flint on January 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Keehn) Lambert. She married Harold Lloyd on October 5, 1946. She was a life member of Davison VFW Auxiliary #4087. She also worked at AC Spark Plug. Doris was the past Vice President of the Democratic Club in Grand Blanc. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Doris was especially proud in volunteering at local nursing homes and the Saginaw VA Hospital. She received two plaques and four certificates from the State in 1996 for being the best Senior Citizen Assistant and Rehab Chairman.

Surviving are children, Dennis and wife Pat Lloyd of Lake City, MI, Denise and husband Norm Mendham of Owosso, MI, Rhonda and husband Richard Cummings of Texas, David and wife Wendy Lloyd of Flint, Keith and wife Wendi of Mt. Morris;

17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
and sister, Donna Talsma of Hartland, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold on February 14, 2005, baby girl, Nancy Lynn Lloyd, one grandson, Norman C. and sister, Ardis.
