MASS, Peter – of Flint, age 58, passed away December 31, 2016 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, 6106 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc; Dr. Darrell Foltz officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-4 & 6-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.
Peter was born in Lapeer, MI on November 23, 1958, son of Clarence and Betty (Ogg) Mass. He lived in Dryden until the age of five, before his family moved to Davison. Peter married Sharon Sanford on February 16, 1980. He worked at A & A Auto Parts, Custom Equipment and Hambicki-CarQuest. Peter enjoyed working on cars, watching NASCAR and he certainly enjoyed his coffee. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and loved spending time with them.
Peter is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Cindy (Ryan) Lynk and Donald (Bridget) Mass; grandchildren, Grace, Charles and Alexander; father, Clarence “Pete” Mass; sister, Linda (Al) Romancky; brothers, Dan (Debbie) Mass, Jerry Mass and David Mass; brother-in-law, Mike (Judy) Sanford; many nieces and nephews, as well as great- nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Mass; step-mother, Wanda Mass.
