Shirley Mae Green
Age 83 of Maple Grove Township passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her home.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel. Her son-in-law, Pastor Pat Lagan of Living Hope Church in Saginaw, will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends that day from 11:00am until the service.
Shirley was born on September 30, 1934 to Phillip and Bertha (McKinstry) Thomas Sr. in Owosso. She married Robert Gerald Green on January 19, 1952. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2011.
Shirley spent her life as a loving homemaker. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working with antiques.
Shirley is survived by her children, Bob (Laurie) Green, Mike (Barb) Green, Lori (Pat) Lagan, Chris Hemgesberg, and Randy Joe Green; and her 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Gerald Green; her infant son, Ricky Jay Green; her parents, Phillip and Bertha Thomas; and her 10 brothers and sisters.
