DILLON (URBANIK), Virginia S. – Of Davison, age 98, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Heartland Healthcare Center-Briarwood.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, Father Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dillon will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
Virginia was born in Flint, Michigan on September 1, 1920, the daughter of the late Paul and Eva Urbanik and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life.
On June 14, 1943 she married Herbert Dillon and he preceded her in death on August 8, 1996.
In 1938 she graduated from Northern High School.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and Rosary Society for over 50 years. She was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison.
Surviving are daughters, Paula Parrott,
Joanne (Ralph) Seeley,
Theresa (Frank) Hyde and
Victoria (Mark) Sytek;
son-in-law, Michael Montpas;
18 grandchildren;
27 great-grandchildren and one on the way;
2 great-great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Montpas; son-in-law, Bernie Parrott; siblings, Bernice, Louis, Veronica, Emily, Leonard, Pauline, Anne, Josephine, Joseph and Mary.
