HARRINGTON, Madeline Belle - Of Flint, age 91, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, November 27, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Kevin Harbin officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 4-7pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Madeline was born in Rutherford, Tennessee on October 19, 1922, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Griffith) Taylor. She was a resident of the Flint area for many years. Madeline worked for AC Spark Plug during World War II. She was also employed by The Fair Store for 13 years, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed square and round dancing. She loved to read, sew, search words, crochet and in her last year loved her lap cat companion, Maggie Mae.
Surviving are children, Orville Lee and wife Rose of Hastings, MI, Helen Sue and husband Oather McPherson of Swartz Creek, Marlene Reen of Swartz Creek and Sandra Harrington of Swartz Creek;
8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville on December 22, 2012, parents, Robert and Helen Taylor and sister Roberta Russell.
