Wurtz, Elizabeth “Janet” of Flushing, age 82, died Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Medilodge of Montrose. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Janet was born in Flint, Michigan, on April 18, 1934, the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy (Hull) Miller. She married Thomas Wurtz in Flushing, Michigan, on November 12, 1955. Janet was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Flushing. She had worked eight years for Genesee County Community Mental Health. Janet was a volunteer with S.A.L.T. in Flushing and with the Flushing Area Historical Society. She was a passionate dog lover. Janet was a loving person and most importantly a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Janet is survived by her husband, Thomas of 61 years; children, Randy, Stephanie, Rodney, Andrew; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy of Arizona; special friend, Shirley Walls of Corunna; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and three brothers. |
