QUICK, Thomas F. -Of Grand Blanc, age 72, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Gary Koenigsknecht officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Quick will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Thomas was born in Cass City, Michigan on January 8, 1944, the son of the late Hazen and Theresa (Slimko) Quick.
On May 31, 2000 he married Betty Quick in Indiana.
He loved to golf, betting on football and fishing. He loved his family and friends.
Mr. Quick worked at GM from 1964-1996 as Foreman.
Surviving are wife, Betty;
two daughters, Shellie (Brent) Smith and
Diane (Tim) Heger;
two stepdaughters, Courtney Cronin and
Jenny (Matt) Gapczynski;
six grandchildren, Jessica, Danielle and Paul Heger, Benjamin Reay, Derek and Quinn Smith;
sister, Mary Margaret “Midge” (Dale) Hall;
brother, Allen (Arleta) Quick;
many nieces and nephews.
