KOCHAN (Zobel), Sharon S. - of Saginaw, age 69, died Saturday July 30 at her residence in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Fred C. Smith officiating. Burial at Cook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1-5 PM and 7-9PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Sharon was born February 2, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Carl and Meda “Sue” (Gerth) Zobel. She married Theodore M. Kochan on September 12, 1964. Sharon loved her family especially her only grandchild Tyler. He was her pride and joy.
Surviving are: husband, Theodore; son, Theodore (Sheri) Kochan Jr. of Saginaw; daughter, Karrie Prohaska of Freeland; brothers, Duwayne Zobel of Birch Run, William (Phyllis) Zobel of Twining, and Carl “Butch” (Bernadette) Zobel of Edenville; and several nieces and nephews. She had two dear and special friends, Sharon “Dobie” Tackebury and Joyce Gotham. She was preceded by sister-in-law, Janet Zobel; nephew, Richard Zobel; and a niece, Julie Zobel. The family would like to thank the nurses at Covenant Cooper ICU (7th floor) for their exceptional care and the Cartwright House for their warm hearts and caring hands.
