REYNOLDS, Ivory “Tiny” “Butch” Leon Jr. – of Davison, MI, age 80, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment, with Military Honors, will be held 2:30 PM Monday, April 29, 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, in Ivory’s memory.
Ivory was born in Flint, MI on March 18, 1944, son of the late Ivory and Lillian (Hamilton) Reynolds. He was a graduate of Beecher High School Class of 1962. Ivory proudly served his country in the active duty U.S. Navy from 1964-1965 and then served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1965-1968. Following his military service, Ivory dedicated many years of hard work to Complete Trucking Company, contributing significantly to its success before retiring. His commitment extended beyond the workplace, as evidenced by his membership in the Flint Teamsters Local #332 and Davison VFW Post #4087 and the Veterans Association. Through these organizations, he found camaraderie with fellow servicemen and continued to honor his duty long after his Navy days. Beyond his professional and organizational affiliations, Ivory's greatest role was that of a loving husband and provider. In 1986, he married Sandra Galick in Flint, MI, embarking on a journey of partnership and love that defined his later years. Ivory will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, his steadfast loyalty, and his genuine care for those around him. His legacy of service and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Ivory is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Reynolds; 3 children; 3 siblings; many other loving in-laws, family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory and Lillian Reynolds and his sister.
