TAKACS, Marie Elizabeth. – of Clio, age 72, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, May 5, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Marie was born November 7, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to the late Gerhardt and Dorothy (Vliet) Treichel. She was a 1962 graduate of Davison High School. Marie was employed with Smith-Bridgman’s Department Store for several years. She enjoyed crafting, treasure hunting and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Marie loved being a grandmother.
Surviving are: Daughters: Dawn Ford (Fiancé Kevin LaLonde) of Clio, Paula (Kevin) Ford of Swartz Creek, Cindy Takacs (Partner Matthew Rogers) of Mt. Morris; Sons: Joseph Takacs of Mesa, AZ, and Bart Takacs of Montrose; 9 grandchildren: Christian, Jaedon, Jacob, Zeke, Wes, Will, Leon, Maximus, and Adrianna; Siblings: Sharleen (Doug) Roberts, Sharon (Nelson) Kilbourne, Gary (Sharon) Treichel, Jean (Hugh) Eldred, Mary Jane Thomas, Georgeann (Dan) Ricketts, and Millie (Ron) Spinney; Dear friends: Cindy, and Mary.
