CAUTHEN, Dorothy Mae - age 94, of Flint, passed away, August 6, 2024. Private family services will he held with burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Dorothy was born April 14, 1930 in Jacksboro, TN, the daughter of John and Tava Alice (Lindsey) Wilson. She married Ernest Cauthen, Jr. on December 23, 1954 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2010. Dorothy was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint. She enjoyed working with children and volunteered with Sunday School and other children's ministries. She enjoyed working with flowers, making bouquets, baking and giving her bake goods to friends and family, as well as, reading, embroidering and cooking. Surviving are: three children, Linda Cauthen, Donald (Vicki) Cauthen, and Barbara Cauthen; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Tori, Malachi, Steven, Benjamin, James, Leah, and Elizabeth; five great-grandchildren; sister, Lela (Henry) Rohrman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tava Wilson; husband, Ernest; granddaughter, Melissa; three sisters, Elizabeth Duncan, Ruth Patrick, Kathryn Cooper; two brothers, Thomas and Leon Wilson; son, Ronald Cauthen.
