GERDING, Margaret- of Flint, age 85 passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Rev. Harold K. Polk Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 11 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
Margaret was born in Flint, Michigan on July 26, 1934 the daughter of the late Carl and Hazel Yungfer. She married Donald Gerding on March 20, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2008. Margaret loved to go shopping, gardening and dancing. She loved her girl trips, going to Nashville and Gatlinburg Tennessee.
Margaret is survived by daughters, Robin (Ted) Cannell, Diane (Rick) Taylor, Hollie (Jerry Geihsler) Smith, son Gordon (Jill) Gerding; grandchildren, Curt (Amanda) Canterbury, Heather ( Josh) Binkley, Tiffanie (Tony) DiNuzzo; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Cade, Aiden, Ashton and Tristan; sister, Carol Young, brother, Wayne Yungfer, sister, DeLynne (Skip) Geraghty; several other family members. Preceded in death by sister Leigh Ann Martin.
