HANSEN, Harold George - Age 79, of Holly, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held 5 PM Friday, May 6, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 1 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Harold was born December 17, 1936 in Flint the son of Ole and Swanheld (Olsen) Hansen. He married Marilyn Ann Zappon April 20, 1962 in Flint and she preceded him in death July 28, 2006. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He retired from GM Delphi in 1991 after 34 years of service. Harold had lived in the this are his entire life. He also was a proud member of the Republican Party. Harold enjoyed classical music, woodworking, and was a gunsmith. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Harold loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are: his daughter, Kelly and husband David Malow of Hessel; 3 grandchildren, Heather and husband Ray Dahl of Flint, David Malow, Jr. of Hessel, and Heidi and husband Joe Paquin of Pickford; 7 great grandchildren, Emily, A.J., and Maggie Dahl, Allison, Mike, and Charlotte Paquin, and David Roy Malow III; brother, Robert Hansen of Davison; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Delores Reed and Myrtle Deland; and brothers, Walter and Oscar Hansen.
