Janet went to join her Lord and Savior in heaven at the age of 80 on Sunday May 19th 2019 at her home in Elsie, Michigan. Janet Kay Herbers was born in Brant, Michigan on December 24th 1938 to the late Tony and Florence (Knowles) Herbers, being the youngest of 10 children. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, sons; Scott (Jodi) Gross, Randy (Linda) Gross, and her daughter; Jill (Steve) March. Also surviving are her many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her remaining sister Vera (Bob) Burgess, many nieces, nephews, her companion Jerry Schafer and her beloved terrier Snoopy. She was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Florence (Knowles) Herbers, eight of her brothers and sisters, her oldest son Jerry Douglas Gross and her late husband Edward Ralph Ostrander. Janet’s last request was there be no funeral service following her passing and that any memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Saginaw Co. Humane Society.
