AYLSWORTH, Barbara G. – of Davison, age 81, passed away February 16, 2019 at The Cottage of Davison. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, February 22, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Thursday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Barbara was born in Flint, MI on May 12, 1937, daughter of the late William and Anna Clara (Kessler) Klein. She married Martin J. Aylsworth on January 24, 1959 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint. Barbara graduated from Nazareth College in 1958, and from 1958-1989, she worked as a Registered Nurse in pediatrics at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint. Barbara also worked with Visiting Nurses Flu Shot Program and volunteered with Goodrich area hospice. She enjoyed playing cards and board games.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dave) Dutton and Lori Aylsworth; grandchildren, Matt (Tara Wright) Chalmers, Andrew Chalmers and Alex Dutton; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; sister, Clara Speaks.
