ROSE, Dorothy – of Flint, age 85, died Friday, October 7, 2016 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, October 10, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from1-8 PM and on Monday from 10 AM until time of services at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Dorothy was born October 19, 1930 in Mayville, MI to the late Peter and Hedwig (Galda) Baber. She was a Clio resident since 1964. Dorothy was united in marriage to David Rose in February 1954. He preceded her in death in March 1993. Mrs. Rose retired from AC in 1980 with 30 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #651. Dort enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, yardwork and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: Diane (Richard) Moore of KY, David “Randy” (Audrey) Rose of IN; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Scott) Schulze of KY, Amy Moore of FL, Sam Rose of IN; Great Grandchildren: Cassandra Harville, Sara Holbrook, and Elena Ortiz; Great Great Grandchildren: Sophia Holbrook and Mason Holbrook; Sister, Mary Lyden of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Joseph, Edward, Leo and Ben; Sister, Doris Hewitt; and a Grandson, Michael Moore.
