MIHAILUK, Dorothy Ellen – Of Clio, formerly of Rankin, age 97, died Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Dorothy was born in Port Credit, Ontario, Canada on September 17, 1922, the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Barber) Calver.
She met John Edward Mihailuk in 1942 and they were married on August 20, 1942.
Dorothy was a homemaker, raising her 7 children until 1972. She then worked side by side with her husband, John at John’s Minimart on 2nd Street and one in Rankin. They sold the stores in 1995 and started to travel together via motorhome upon settling in Apache Junction. Dorothy spent her winters living between Arizona and San Diego after John’s passing. She spent her last winter in Arizona in 2019.
Dorothy was an excellent self-taught painter. She also enjoyed working on crafts, writing and singing. Dorothy had a green thumb; she knew how to perfectly weed her beautiful flower garden. Above all, she loved playing Euchre with the grandkids and spending time with her family.

Mark (Carol) Mihailuk,
Michelle (Charles)Deladurantey,
Monica (Mark Marshall) Mihailuk,
Mitchell (Becky) Milhailuk and
Marty (Lisa) Mihailuk;
21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, May and Sylvia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Mihailuk; siblings, Noel, John, Geoffrey, Frank, Mildred “Dot”, Edward, Robin and Martin.
