Delecki, James S. of Flushing, age 81, died Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at his home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Robert Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church for Masses.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on May 13, 1938, the son of John and Genevieve (Kusek) Delecki. He married Marcella Slagor in Tennessee on November 4, 1960. James had worked for General Motors at the Ternstedt Plant for 34 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #599. Jim was also a member of St. Robert Catholic Church, Dom Polski, PLAV, and the Clio Eagles. He loved farming and enjoyed playing cards.
James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcella; daughter, Theresa Delecki, both of Flushing; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy; his parents; five brothers and five sisters.
