Nathan William Denryter, age 39 of Dryden passed away peacefully on March 29, 2020, in the comforts of his home, with his family and friends by his side, after a short battle with cancer. Nathan was raised in Avoca, Michigan. He graduated from Yale High School, class of 1999 and attended Eastern Michigan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art Education degree in December of 2007. Nathan bravely served on the Kenockee Township Fire Department from 2001-2005 and the Dryden Township Fire Department from 2009 to the present. He enlisted in the Michigan Air National Guard in 2002 and loyally served two tours of duty in Iraq and two in Afghanistan as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Craftsman. In 2008 Nathan began teaching as an elementary art teacher at Lapeer Community Schools.

Nathan is survived by his wife Tracy; son Bryce and daughter Bailey; parents William & Kimberly Denryter of Avoca; brother Timothy (Michelle) Denryter; in-laws Lynn & Cathy Brady of Burton; brother-in-law Kevin (Christina) Brady; nephews Tyler and Jaxon; nieces Alisabeth, Malia, and Kailyn; also many loving cousins, family members and dear friends.

Nathan was preceded in death by his grandmother Patricia Ford; grandfather William Rosin; grandparents Fred & Ruthie Goolsby, grandmother Carol Love.

A private (immediate family only) funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. Pastor Rik Schwab will officiate. Nathan will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery on April 6th at 10:00 a.m. but is limited to immediate family only as well.

Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel would like to invite ALL PUBLIC that wish to pay their respects to the Denryter family to attend a motorcade tribute on Friday, April 3rd at 12:00 Noon at Lapeer High School. Motorcade attendees are invited to arrive at Lapeer High School, south entrance by the Optimist soccer fields, as early as 11:00 a.m. but before 11:45 a.m. with plans to start the tribute at noon. ALL ATTENDEES MUST REMAIN IN THEIR VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES, this will be strictly enforced. Every vehicle will be given the opportunity to pay tribute to the Denryter family. Nathan’s casket will be in attendance and closed during this tribute.

We realize that this plan is unconventional but these are unfamiliar times and we strongly feel that Nathan’s life deserves the most distinguished tribute that we are able to safely give our community during these trying times.
