GRAY, Darlene M. – of Birch Run, age 80, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Wellspring of Frankenmuth. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, August 15, 2016 at King of Kings Lutheran Church. 1019 Covenant Dr. in Frankenmuth. Pastor Joel Willitz officiating. Entombment to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Sunday from 2-9PM and Monday at the church from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. A memorial by the Birch Run Ladies Auxiliary will be held at 6:30PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family, to be forwarded to a charitable contribution.
Darlene was born October 29, 1935 in Midland, Michigan to the late William and Henrietta (Volz) Bartow. She married Donald R. Gray September 21, 1957 in Midland. He preceded her in death January 25, 2011. Darlene was a teller with Standard Federal Bank in Frankenmuth (now PNC Bank) for 32 years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Birch Run VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hats. Darlene bowled for many years with her ladies bowling league in Birch Run. She enjoyed flower gardening and traveling. Above all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Sons: Dennis (Jackie) Gray of Holiday, FL and Douglas (Tina) Gray of Clio; 4 grandchildren: Jeremy (Bekki), Danielle, Jennifer and Deanna; 5 great grandchildren: Chloe, Carly, Cora, Kinsley and Gavin; Brother, David (Ginny) Bartow; Brothers in law: John Coppens and Charles Burch; Several nieces and nephews. Darlene was also preceded in death by her Daughter, Denise Gray; Grandson, Eddie Barlow; Brother, Carl Bartow; Sisters: Venida Burch and Gretta Coppens.
