Nancy Ann Raleigh
Age 79 of New Lothrop passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Maple Grove. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel on Thursday, January 19 from 2:00 to 8:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 8:00pm.
Nancy was born on February 24, 1937 to Cletus and Margaret (Murphy) Birchmeier in Maple Grove Twp. She married Crisfor "Sam" Raleigh on October 26, 1957 at St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Nancy spent her life as a devoted homemaker. She loved being with her family and grandchildren. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed traveling to Kentucky and taking trips to the casino.
Nancy is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Amanda) Raleigh, Kelly (Tom) Chmelar, and Brenda Strickland; her grandchildren, Christopher Raleigh, Sara (Jason) Fornwald, Chelsey (Kyle) Saari, Brooke Chmelar, Allison Chmelar, Logan Strickland, and Bailey Strickland; her brother, Richard (Betty) Birchmeier; and her sister, Jane Raleigh; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Sam, and her sister, Mildred Carroll.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Twin Township Ambulance.
