BROWN, Alice Jennie – of Davison, age 83, passed away July 5, 2015 at her residence. Cremation has taken place at her request. A Memorial Service will be held 3PM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Kevin Miles officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery at a late date. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Alice was born in Davison, MI on November 20, 1931, daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Hillier) McAra. She graduated from Davison High School in 1949 and then Baker College. Alice retired in 2006 from Williams Gun Sight after 50 years of service. She was a single mom while working and her family was very important to her. Alice was an excellent cook. She loved and doted on her grandkids and would travel frequently to see them.
Alice is survived by her children, Scott (Maria) Brown, Lisa (Russell) Hinds; grandchildren, Jeffery and Jessica Hinds, Joshua (Jessica) Brown, Tyler Brown; great granddaughter, Ella Brown; sisters, Edna McAra, Judy (Dan) Rice, niece, Karen Titsworth; nephew, Brock (Stephanie) Rice; treasured friend, Janet Johnston. She was preceded in death by her brother, John McAra and sister-in-law, Reta McAra. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Julie, Crystal, Sara and Rebeckah from Hospice Advantage for their compassionate care.
