STRANG, John C. - Of Swartz Creek, age 66, died Sunday, January 31, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Paul Brashaw officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
John was born in Flint on August 25, 1949, and was a resident of the Flint area all his life. On August 26, 1972, he married Jill Marie Kozlowski. John was employed 36 years at Local #370 Pipefitters Union. He was a two-time State Golden Gloves Champion and also trained local boxers. His grandsons were his pride and joy. He would attend all their activities and sporting events. Papa was their number #1 fan.
Surviving are wife, Jill;
Daughter Corrie and husband Stephen Jones;
Grandsons Braydin and Reece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Allene (Reed) Strang.
