LYDEN, Ronald L. - Of Mt. Morris, age 81, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, May 31, 2013 at Saints Charles and Helena Church, 230 East Vienna Street, Clio,
Father Robert McGraw officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mr. Lyden will be at the church 10:30am Friday until the time of the Mass.
Ronald was born in Flint on September 6, 1931. He married Mary Baber Ronald served in the Unites States Air Force during the Korean War for four years. After the war, he was a salesman for M&S for ten years and then was a salesman with Ray Kerns Of Flint for 22 years. Ronald was involved in numerous organizations with the community and school. He never missed a game or activity with his kids. Ronald was a loving dad and spoiled his wife always. In his retirement, he enjoyed playing Texas Hold Em with his family and friends and liked spending time with them all. He will be missed.
Surviving are wife of 49 years, Mary;
children, Debbie (Mike) Michaud, Lynn (Tom) Christenson, Tony (Donna) Lyden, Jeff Lyden and Greg (Michele) Lyden;
several special grandchildren and one great-grandchild;
sister-in-law,, Dorothy Rose.
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lucille Lyden, step-mother, Violet and brothers, Jack and Bob.
