BAKER, Daryl Lynn (Barrentine), of Swartz Creek, MI, age 65, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her residence. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-8 PM Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Cremation will take place following the visitation. A Graveside Service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery, E. Bristol Rd. and Pine Grove Rd., Davison, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries, 605 Garland Street, Flint, MI 48503, in Daryl’s memory. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carolyn Newton, Bobbie Jean Threlkeld and Joni Baker, for their love and compassion.
Daryl was born in Flint, MI on August 19, 1951, daughter of the late Morris and Lois (Crosno) Barrentine. She was employed with AC Spark Plug retiring in 1990 after 15 years of service. The last few years, Daryl’s greatest joy was spending time with her great-granddaughter, Adalynn Banks. Daryl enjoyed going to casinos and especially loved playing Bingo. She also loved her dogs.
Daryl is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ron; 4 children, Kelly (Glen) McMinn of Monet, Arkansas, Jim Kohn of Adrian, MI, Chris Baker of Davison, MI and Holly (Scott) Tedrick of Davison, MI; 8 grandchildren, Megan, Lance, Madeline, Jacob, Mark, Luke, Rylee and Dustin; 2 great-grandchildren, McKenzie “Mee Mee” and Adalynn; 2 sisters, Carolyn (Chuck) Newton and Barb (Archie) Scott ; 2 brothers, Jerry (Tish) Barrentine; Dave (Gerri) Barrentine; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Kohn; son, Mark Baker and brother, Jim Parr.
